(Rudy Giuliani Quote (NY Post, 1996) "Most of Clinton's policies are very similar to most of mine.")

I have two close friends who will be attending one of Rudy's speeches this evening - both are old school southern conservatives, but I would not describe them as social conservatives.
I will try to get their feedback tomorrow and report on it.

In July of 2005, he said Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg fit criteria that would be important to him when picking a Supreme Court justice.
[W]hats important to me is to have a very intelligent, very honest, very good lawyer on the court, he said. Justice Ginsburg fit that category. Giuliani added that she was a very qualified lawyer and a very smart person.
That quote should slap some common sense into all Rudybots.
Unfortunately it won't.

At the NARAL lunch, Giuliani also said he and the assembled guests were upholding a distinguished tradition that began in our city starting with the work of Margaret Sanger, a founder of Planned Parenthood and a pioneer of distributing birth control to the poor. They forgot the fact that the woman whose work Giuliani considers "distinguished" was a vile racist eugenicist.

Nice of you to edit the quote:
"I mean, she was she maybe came at it from a very different political background, very qualified lawyer, very smart person.

"Marxist ACLU background" is, of course, a better description

There you go again, trying to redefine conservatism. Just like Rush said.

Quick search found this. I never knew this until pointed out on a few threads. The more people that know the better and Rudy needs to stay in NYC where he belongs.

I am not a social conservative - not by any stretch.
I raise my kids to respect life, respect God, and honor their friends.
I do not judge my friends with regard to their being in agreement with my life styles, and I do knot judge theirs.
To: dynachrome
"Marxist ACLU background" is, of course, a better description. Well of course, but the point was leaving that out changes the meaning of the quote.

Fair enough. In that case the author edited the quote.
It's still incomplete.

Two liberals (okay, one's more of a self-promoting weathervane than anything) I will not vote for in primary or general election: Rudy and Romney.

I am not a social conservative - not by any stretch.I know, your not a "conservative" at all.
No matter how you try to redefine conservative.
I won't go into your "respect God" claim.
To: Corin Stormhands
"In that case the author edited the quote"
If true, that was wrong. Actual quote makes it worse IMHO.
