"Why was climatologist James Hansen -- the father of global warming--off by 200% in his prediction that temperatures would increase by 0.35 degrees Celsius by 2008"

Here is Hansen's 1988 chart updated with the actual temps...

In order to properly evaluate Hansen's 1988 prediction, we must know the actual trajectory for greenhouse gasses. If scenario A obtained, his guess was very wrong. If scenario B, his guess was somewhat wrong. If scenario C was matched, his guess was pretty good.

That's funny:

The actual temperatures are EVEN LOWER than scenario C (greenhouse gases increase STOPPED at year 2000!), but actual greenhouse gasses (the CO2 that the enviro's are hysterical about) continuing to increase unabated from 2000 thourgh 2006....

Yet there has been NO temperature increase since 2000.

Odd. No temp increase in 6 years, but CO2 levels have increased.
