Then if the party is so infected with RINOs, corruption, etc., it is time for a new party.

Yes it is. Unfortunately many Republicans only look at the next election or two and are so scared of losing an occasional election, that they would rather vote for RINOs than try and setup a new Conservative party.

Setting up a new party is not something that can be done in one election cycle, and it also means that we would have to deal with attacks from both Republicans and Democrats, who would do everything they could to keep us out of the debates, off of the ballots, etc.

I know many Republicans who are disgusted with the GOP, especially in my home state (Texas), and I think quite a few could go for a new party, but it's going to be tough.

Why not fight to keep a conservative Republican party?

Let the party leadership in the RNC know in advance that there is a line you refuse to cross! Explain the issues you wont compromise on. Then let them know that candidate X,Y,or Z will NEVER get your vote, in the primary or in the general election.

Until you are willing to do that you will be offered a hodgepodge of something they think you will settle for.

1000 letters (in your own words) from around the Nation to the RNC now before the primaries, will be noticed and a good indication of what is in store if they shepherd a candidate that crosses that line through to the nomination.

The MSM/ polling co. polls are meaningless this far out but an "internal" poll of the grassroots will shake them to their senses.

I personally wont threaten to quit the party. I will let them know in advance I wont help with money, GOTV, signs, etc. And I will personally work to keep a candidate that crosses that line from being elected.

You can set your own standards for what that line is and which candidate(s) cross it. Just let them know that you have a line you refuse to cross! IMHO.
