(Please do not question how Hammondss unobstructed rise through the most elite American universities comports with her thesis of pervasive discrimination against black women.) Easy - I've crossed swords with these folks a dozen times - 1. All such success is despite sexism; similar success on the part of men is because of it, and (2) the logic inherent in the criticism itself is an example of rigid, linear patriarchal male reasoning.
There are certain university faculties entering the Dark Ages, far darker than anything the McCarthy era was supposed to have held. And they're doing it willingly. It would be a sad curiosity and the death of a free institution were it not for the fact that the people responsible are doing so with an eye toward dictating social policy through government as well as the captive institutions. "No" is an easy thing to say to them but it's much harder to make it stick.

No academic record to speak of, in terms of publishing papers or doing research studies. But Harvard's $20B or more endowment means that they will be around for a long time.

It has been a long time since elite institutions contributed anything to society but elitism. My favorite Republican president was no ivy leaguer and so was my favorite Democrat president. Truman and Reagan were anything but elitists. I believe it is safe to say that whatever good come to this nation in the next few years, it will not come through efforts of the Ivy League elites.

I am very confident that this person is exceptionally knowledgeable in all aspects of scientific method, devoted as she must be to the most rigorous empirical studies of her subject with judicious use of statistics...... /s

Paganism as extreme feminism is back. A new impiety with protean, deceitful, human-like gods. The Hillary make-over and The Devil Wears Prada comes to mind as ushering it in.
