Best regards to all,
Best regards,
Considering the BATFe has ruled a shoe string can be a machine gun, pretty much everything else can be classified as such.
Whether you agree or not, it's an interesting lesson in history. Something to think about...
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953,
about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5
million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945,
a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend
themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20
million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981,
100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979,
300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977,
one million 'educated' people, unable to defend themselves, were
rounded up and exterminated.
Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th
Century because of gun control: 56 million.
It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were
forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be
>destroyed bytheir own government, a program costing Australia
taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now
in:
Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent
Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent
Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now
up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned
them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!
While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease
in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in
the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that
their prey is unarmed. There has also been a dramatic increase in
break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a
loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental
effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian
society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical
facts above prove it.
You won't see this data on the American evening news or hear
our president, governors or other politicians disseminating this
information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives
and property and, yes, gun-control laws affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note my fellow Americans.....before it's too late!
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please
remind them of this history lesson. With guns, we are 'citizens'.
Without them, we are 'subjects'.
If you value your freedom, please spread this anti-gun control message..
Where is the outrage? I would expect that FREEPERS would be all over this, but I won't hold my breath.
Those are sobering statistics but you're preaching to the choir. The MSM is completely infiltrated with Marxists or their brainwashed, hand-wringing dupes who keep this info out of circulation. The government also wants a disarmed populace because, face it, we no longer have a government by and for the people. We (conservatives) keep trudging to the polls to elect politicians who, when elected, don't expend a lot of energy defending our rights but instead spend their time enrich themselves and those they really represent, large donors. To be honest they are strong-armed into doing what the party leadership wants instead of representing their constituents.
Rant over.
That is why firearms in the hands of law abiding CITIZENS are so important. The founding fathers and the Constitution grants us with three (3) ways to get our leaders attention:
1) Citizens standing on their soap box,
2) Citizens pulling the lever on the ballot box, and if all else fails,
3) Citizens able to get to their cartridge box.
Too bad not enough people forcefully invoke the "show me the law". Getting very fed up with the bs.
ping
bump. Like we could expect anything better?
There is a tremendous amount of energy which is, will be, and has been expended figting the Akins issue, the last AWB, the upcoming AWB II, etc.
If that energy, even a decent fraction of it, were expended on overturning 922(o), we'd be much farther ahead in much less time.
922(o).
One stinkin' sentence.
Get rid of that, and we could have the real M4s, AKs etc. with the happy switch and everything instead of endless snivelling over M4geries, AKSes, etc. and the cosmetics thereof.
They're trying incrementalism, and it works.
Flank 'em.
Overturn 922(o) already.
"1) Citizens standing on their soap box,
2) Citizens pulling the lever on the ballot box, and if all else fails,
3) Citizens able to get to their cartridge box."
Let's see.
1) I've protested Bill Owens (our governor) twice. The first time I was targeted by the local SWAT team (brave patriots all I'm sure) in case I and the 70 year old grandpas got out of line. The second time I was herded into a "Free Speech Zone" two blocks from where the spineless turd was speaking so he wouldn't be disturbed by the pesky citizens demanding their rights.
I've written letters and signed petitions too. No joy. If I was a blind, Lesbian Ferret farmer I would have gotten more attention.
2) I pulled the lever on the ballot box many times so my representatives could go to Washington and stand up for absolutly nothing as far as I can see.
3) I still have the cartridge box to be sure and I'm afraid it's coming to that eventually.
Gee
"...the BATFE is an unelected rogue agency run amok. It is a law unto itself; as many people have found, merely criticizing it can result in dire consequences."
Just like the IRS, EPA, FCC and on and on.
No Guns ~ No Rights!
Be Ever Vigilant!
Actually, preaching to the choir could be pretty useful if what was preached was that BATFE works for GWB. Rush makes the same mistake, criticizing the Democrats his audience can't move instead of the Republicans it could.

Good point. All it would take for F Troop to get out of everyones hair is a word from Bush.
What do they have to say about fully automatic pistols?
