What a great thread! I'll tell you, when a military band comes marching by in a Pass in Review, tears spring to my eyes, my heart quickens, my hair stands on end and I spring to my feet almost involuntarily! The instant effect is amazing.

I remember as a kid the Military Parades we used to have, my Marine Uncle, a sharp shooter, used to march in the Memorial Day Parades. We were all so proud.
Once a Marine, Always a Marine. He died 3 years ago, in his 90s.
