I would say that in my experience the man often suffers more, the woman is offered counselling etc but the man often ignored whether the abortion was for social or medical reasons.

To an extent this is true but I often wonder if they have been more firm with their wife/girlfriend whether they would have had an abortion.

In my experience a great deal of women have a abortion because they do not believe rightly or wrongly that the man will stand by her and cannot face bringing a child up on their own.

Yes there is adoption but often the women feels the relationship would not survive this option and feels again rightly or wrongly IMHO wrongly that for the sake of her other children she must abort.

If the man had been more supportive to her then I believe she would not have jumped to this conclusion.

I have a male friend that was in this situation many years ago he says they jointly agreed to an abortion but I often wonder how much he gave in because even to this day he is mentally affected round about the date the baby would have been born.

Judging from the men of my acquaintance, your statement does not apply to them, and I doubt that I happen to selectively know only the most selfish individuals. I'd say that their degree of selfishness is far from the maximum imaginable. Selfish they are alright [who isn't?], but nothing to write about to the Guinness book.

"In my experience a great deal of women have a abortion because they do not believe ..."

Well, why they choose to have an abortion is immaterial to the point I'm trying to make. And that is, men have no say in the matter.

Oh sure, they may express an opinion. For all the good that does.

How about this? If the man wants the baby (and she doesn't), HE raises it alone, no child support from her. If the woman wants the baby (and the man doesn't), she raises it alone, no child support from him.

Fair enough?

Good point. Where are the statistics on men who proposed, oh, say, marriage to their knocked-up girlfriends? hmmmmm?

No Sh!t Sherlock, I've always said that.

It's the "woman's" body, well if it's the woman's body and the woman's choice then where is the man?

A woman can "choose" to either kill the man's baby or choose to make him support it???

Where are the mans parental rights???

If the man decides he wants the baby aborted and the woman doesn't comply does he get to opt out of supporting the child?

No matter how much the man WANTS the baby the woman and the woman only has the RIGHT to kill HIS baby?

I've asked these questions forever and never seen them asked or answered in the media.

""He found that 80 percent of the men he surveyed said the trip to the abortion center was the worst day of their lives."

I wonder if most of those men talked the women into abortions. Women who have strong feelings about abortion don't need a man!

abortion's effect on men is deliberately ignored Thanks to man-hating feminazis who hate life and love death.

You quoted feminist dogma - "Don't want Abortion? Then don't have one."

My answer, when that is thrown at me: "You've effectively said, 'Don't like slavery? Don't own slaves.'"

A good guess, most likely. Women are more likely to abort, I would think, if they think the guy who got them pregnant is going to be gone as fast as spit on a hot skillet, and they'll be raising the child alone.
