Clinton Objects to Confederate Flag

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) -- Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton said Monday that South Carolina should remove the Confederate flag from its Statehouse grounds, in part because the nation should unite under one banner while at war.
"I think about how many South Carolinians have served in our military and who are serving today under our flag and I believe that we should have one flag that we all pay honor to, as I know that most people in South Carolina do every single day," Clinton told The Associated Press in an interview.
"I personally would like to see it removed from the Statehouse grounds," the New York senator said during her first trip to the early voting state since announcing her White House bid.
Other Democratic hopefuls, including Sens. Joe Biden and Chris Dodd, have said the flag should come down. The banner, which once flew over the Statehouse dome and now flies nearby, is the subject of an ongoing NAACP boycott.
Clinton is one of several Democrats to draw huge crowds during campaign stops in the state, but she said during the interview that her party will have a tough time winning in GOP-heavy South Carolina
"I think it's going to be hard for any Democrat to carry the state," she said. "The Republican Party is very strong here."
Earlier in the day, Clinton spoke to more than 1,500 people gathered at Allen University, a historically black college in Columbia.

"She will say anything won't she and people fall for it every time."
The good news in the HillaBeast's comment is that she included the refutation to her comment. She even included something of a built in BS indicator pegged to the highest level stop.
"I think it's going to be hard for any Democrat to carry the state," she said. "The Republican Party is very strong here."
If "the Republican Party is very strong here", then the voters of "here" clearly understand Democrats and have rejected them.
Happiness is the HillaBeast admitting that somewhere, some voting block understands and rejects the Democrats.
:-)
Carpetbagger alert!
Here is the flag that Senator Clinton suggests:
She wants the low IQ vote. To be fair, there are many to be had, and both parties seem to be wooing illiterates of all shapes and sizes. If only citizens who could do long division were allowed to vote, the Gimmiecrats would cease to exist.
What is inaccurate in what I posted? My post is historically accurate, the honor of the Confederacy was hijacked by the Democrat segregationists. Read history you will see. Notice it is always a leftists extremists like Clinton who brings it up, why is that do you think?
Doesn't make it right, just what happened.
Been in the weeds lately, thanks for flagging all the stories, friends.
Or pets will die...
She just lost the South
What's that? Oh that's right...it's none of a national politician's business what flies or doesn't fly on the grounds of a state capitol. I knew it was coming. The appeasers gave in to the NAACP to take it off the dome and now this.
All the Democrats will come out against the Flag and most of the Republicans (except perhaps Rep. Paul) will either stay silent for the most part about the Flag or give some mealy mouth double speak hoping to ride the fence on it. Meaning? Southerners have not one friend in Washington DC. But y'all keep voting for these power grabbing goobers. It's doing a lot of good, really it is....I wouldn't cast a vote for either party (except for Rep. Paul or someone I know personally) if you paid me.
She never had it in the first place.
and folks wonder why we Southerners always have hated
carpetbaggers....
Hillary Clinton is just a damnedYankee politician who should be defeated.
A dumb ass from New York telling Southerners what to do. She just lost about 5 million votes.
You go girl.
