I do too. I use the spare mags to "balance" my .40 S&W Glock. (Otherwise my right side sags, 'cause I'm a lefty.)

You know I never thought of it, but the spare mag in my left rear pocket balances the Glock 23 on my right hip cause I'm a righty.
