And for the 100th time, Giuliani opposed the Federal Marriage Amendment - co-authored by Judge Robert Bork - which would have ensured that states could ban gay marriage at the state level without federal or judicial interference.

No it is not... 98 U.S. 145, REYNOLDS v. UNITED STATES. October Term, 1878.

And just in case you want to erroneously invoke the Costitution...

Article V

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by the Congress;...

Do any of the Rudy supporters know how our system of government works, or are you purposely forgetting it?

The President of These United States has more then a little to do with passage of any bill.

Heres the facts, if the Senate and House passes a Pro-Gay bill(IE. Gay Marriage), which is very possible given the current make-up of the House and Senate, and the President is Pro-Gay then the bill passes and becomes law.

If the President is Anti-Gay-Marriage and this same type of bill passes, the President vetos said bill, the House and Senate has to get a 2/3 majority to override the veto.

Which is very unlikely because there are more than 1/3 of the House and Senate that would not want this bill passed. Might want to brush up on this countries politics before making such a statement.

Though gay marriage is a states' issue there are also questions at the federal level. For instance, should the IRS recognize a gay union as a legal marriage for tax purposes? And what about federal death benefits to the surviving spouse? A president will eventually have to take a stand on this issues and not defer to the courts to decide them.

It ceases to be if the U.S. constitution is amended. And if it weren't, many conservatives don't shrug their shoulders and mutter, "who cares!?' when character is cited as a noble and desired trait of any potential POTUS.
