Comments like this are not winning any friends for Rudy among the undecided Christian voters. The fact that many Christians vote their religious beliefs does not make them immature, it speaks of their character, something the Giuliani people don't even begin to understand. After all, what kind of character has he shown in his private life?

The thing is, it's comments like that which reveal the true motive behind the Giuliani candidacy. There's a small but vocal coaliation of people who are greedy, want low taxes,and don't want to be shot by terrorists.

At the same time, they don't want to live their lives by any traditional sense of morality and either embrace (or don't care about) homosexuality, abortion, and all the other ills that plague our society. As a result, Christians and Chrisitan morality annoy them. It is this sort of a voter that speaks on behalf of the crossdressing mayor the loudest.
