Romney's Mormonism is irrelevant to his qualifications for the Presidency. My opposition to him is based on ideology, not religion. He never adhered to conservative positions until he considered a run for the Republican nomination for the Presidency. Yes, Ronald Reagan had been a liberal in the 1930s and 1940s, but he had developed a track record of conservatism starting in the 1950s, when he was a spokesman for General Electric and gave pro-free market, limited government speeches well before he became involved in public life, first by campaigning for Goldwater in 1964 and then by running for governor of California. Romney's supposed conversion took place after being a liberal governor of Massachusetts, pro-abortion, pro-"gay rights", anti-gun, and pro-socialized medicine.

These are large misconceptions mostly brought on by those opposed to his religion, knowing they can't make that claim stick so they use these. Here is some of his actual record. Read it, you'll be pleasantly surprised. His actual record is there for all to see if you really want to see them. When it's all over, Mitt will be the one to beat. Start here. Thanks to Unmarked Package for postiong this.
