Illinois is a felony murder jurisdiction. In other words, if a murder occurs during the commission of another felony, an accessory to that felony may be charged with murder and being found guilty, found to be a "murderer."

It's one of those split-hair things.

The difference in this case, though, is that the murder charge was dropped.

The poster of this thread was wrong, got called on it, and ran away.
