And still after all that, I think he'd make a good president. [partial sarcasm off]
Like all the McCain haters, you distort facts and exaggerate differences.
1. A lot of us don't think background checks at gun shows are a bad idea.
2. He never "supported Dems" with regard to SC nominations. That's a distortion of what happened.
3. He doesn't favor "censoring of internet forums like this one." Funny thing--we have yet to be censored here, even during the last pres. election. Seems like hyperbolic paranoia.
4. Geneva Accord--I guess it might have something to do with his background and his general sense of what's fair. I only go along with him part of the way here. But he's far from the only GOP lawmaker who felt this way. Hardly cause for trashing him.
"Like all the McCain haters, you distort facts and exaggerate differences. "
No. I just illustrate the reasons the man is totally unfit for the office of President. I wouldn't even want him for a "friend".
"1. A lot of us don't think background checks at gun shows are a bad idea. "
I think a lot of "us" do and I think out there in the Red States a lot more are aggrevated by it. Its none of the Federal Government's business what kind of gun is sold to whom as long as the gun is legal under Federal Law. I don't think America is a safer place thanks to Winny Brady.
"2. He never "supported Dems" with regard to SC nominations. That's a distortion of what happened. "
Right. He and his gang of seven got together with the Dems to lecture them on strict constructionalism.
"3. He doesn't favor "censoring of internet forums like this one."
Mr. Robinson would disagree with you on that one and so would I.
"4. Geneva Accord--I guess it might have something to do with his background and his general sense of what's fair. I only go along with him part of the way here. But he's far from the only GOP lawmaker who felt this way. Hardly cause for trashing him."
I don't think equating people who wear no uniform, follow no code of moral behavior to their prisoners and who are not entitled to Geneva Accord Treatment as they never signed the Geneva Accord and wouldn't have the slightest idea what its about anyway deserve any special treatment under that agreement. And if that's a sample of his idea of fair play, perhaps we'd be better off without him.
By the way, didn't John McCain abandon his sick wife and then marry the Coor's heiress? How old is she? How old is McCain?
I don't hate McCain - I loathe him. But if he does get the nomination and Hitlery runs - well then maybe I'll be forced to swollow some peptobismol to keep from vomiting in order to pull the lever for him. In the meantime I'll do my level best to try to get a real conservative nominated so I won't be forced to face such intestinal difficulties on Election DAy.
Your constant shilling for China here on FR is starting to make sense.
