The law enforcement official told the AP that Buchanan would not disclose what the investigators concluded, but would say that the government is confident they know how and why Wells died. "We solved it but we won't tell you what it was about, we won't clear his name, we won't tell you because you can't handle the truth."

If indictments are expected, that means he didn't do it on his own. It's hard to believe he would have voluntarily committed suicide, but it's such a bizarre case that it wouldn't surprise me.

I remember this from the day it happened. I really felt sorry for the poor guy with the bomb around his neck. Couldn't believe it when the damned thing went off. What a shame.

I'm confident I know how and why Wells died, too. I watched a bomb placed around his neck go off causing his body to disintegrate before my eyes. Four years of college for a law enforcement degree -- $65,000.00. Thirty seconds in front of a microphone -- priceless!

Yeah, this was really weird. I've wondered what happened to the investigation and whether or not this guy was really vicitimized like he said before the bomb went off.

There was a TV show on this some time ago - the place in the woods he was delivering the pizza to was very close to a shack of some kind that had been used by a couple with a known criminal history and familiarity with making improvised explosive devices. I seem to recall that stuff was found in the shack that could have been used to make parts of the bomb the dude was tied to. I think we'll find out that this poor man was indeed murdered.
