Sestak says vote on Iraq is just a start (Navy Chicken Hawk???)
Philadelphia Inquirer ^ | 02/15/07 | Steve Goldstein

As far as former three-star Adm. Joe Sestak is concerned, the Democrats have just begun to fight back on Iraq.

Sestak, the freshman congressman from Delaware County, is committed to getting U.S. forces out of Iraq by year's end.

Calling the war a "tragic misadventure," the 31-year Navy veteran said in a floor speech that his experience says "don't double down on a bad military bet by using more troops as the president has proposed, when an increase has not worked before."

Three days of debate on a nonbinding resolution are scheduled to end today with a vote.

Warriors need not apply.

Less than 300 Generals and Admirals commanded 15-17 million men in WWII without the aid of today’s communications. They won a war against vastly more capable and logistically superior enemies.

We have so many "Highly Educated" Generals and Admirals it boggles the mind. Around 900 on active duty best I can figure. There is not a General Day, Luck, or Swartzkopft in the bunch Eisenhower, Patton, Chennault, Longstreet, Sherman, Grant, Sheridan and Burford, Forget about it..

Now McClellans? Oh we got em… by the bushel basket.

They are the biggest bunch of whiny loser Generals in the History of this country.

Worthless "RMA (Revolution in Military affairs), Alvin and Heidi Toffler’s Future Shock, Light fighter narcissists who would rather play golf that kill the enemy and are too busy feathering their nests and locking down that golden parachute in the defense industry to give a damn about the Privates, Corporals, Sergeants and Company Grade Officers.

The Few Lt. Cols and Cols who actually want to fight garner to great attention however, then any number of contrivances are found to get them out as soon as possible. Those who are trying to really do something are being suffocated by those looking to their pension’s portfolios and zero defects.

In Iraq we have maybe 20,000 actual fighters out of every 100,000 FOBBITS. We have 14700 M113 Tracked Armored Personnel Carriers in the US inventory but now after watching guys get blown in two while riding around in Road Bound Hummers we have a whole 1400 M113s in all of Iraq. (We do have 14000 trucks in Iraq however). The others by the thousands sit in neat little rows doing diddly. Our Generals give them away by the thousands or dump them into the ocean along with two medium and one light tank platform (Sheridan, M60 & M48 Pattons) so fish will have some place to fornicate. Why? Because there is no real money in a simple upgrades and they have foisted this light fighter ego crap on the young troops who look to the Generals to know what right is. Riding around in road bound 5 ton slow as heck Hummers, Lav and Stryker Crapomatics is not what right is. Some Armor Col basically sacked his Career when he ignored the grand WWI plan to assault Bagdad with light Infantry and drove downtown with his Mech Armor command..
Some Lt Col Infantry Officer loved his men more than himself and screws his 9mm (NATO compliant piece of crap) in the head of some enemy Iraqi . Saves the lives of his men and gets a medal from the Generals? No ….ShitCanned.
Another Dumb Assed Tanker Col sacked his career when he demanded (and got) more types than the two types of antitank rounds (HEAT & SABOT)available for 120mm M1 Tank guns so that he could fight the urban enemy insurgents and protect his earth pigs.

When a Sgt and a Tank Retriever pulled down that statue of Saddam the GQ crowd looked on in horror as the Noh Play script was not followed. (You watched it on TV.) Where was the Commanding General?... In his Air Conditioned Star Wars Diggs emanating such an Electromagnetic signature trying to micro manage everything that even the Iraqis successfully targeted his headquarters. (Good on the Patriots crews who pushed themselves in unarmored wheeled vehicles into the maneuver element and were able to knock the missile down)
When a Soldier asked Rumsfeld what about armor he was told "you go to war with what you have"

A Classic Clintionism.

Since the US Army did not go to war this go round with anything like what it has. Unlike like Swartzkopt.. Large and In Charge. Our Soldiers were running down the road in Crapomatics in many cases getting 1 MRE a day like they were in Stalingrad. While the bulk of our tanks and mechanized Infantry weapons platforms sat unused.

President Bush has a well intended but misguided sense of loyalty and has failed to replace those who cannot get the job. Lincoln fired General after General until he got winners. Bushes greatest failing is failing to fire these incompetents.

I am sick of this lie about our Senior Leadership.

The Demon-Crats are Crap hate this country and would rather surrender than eat.

Liberal Republi-Cons are Crap too.

In light of this it is quite understandable however unfortunate that the House and Senate changed hands.
Generals and Admirals should have been bouncing into retirement from the moment it was clear they were failing to get the job done.

Stop fawning over those worthless Generals who have in truth helped the enemy and their liberal sacks of crap allies in the Media and on the left in this country.
They do not follow time proven US Military Doctrine they have perverted 200 years of hard learned and successful US Military Doctrine. Every week there is a new manual and new “Lessons’ Learned which are nothing more than justifications for their most foul up. They do not want to fight.

I would like to think President Bush is not deliberately messing things up. If there is any mitigating factor for his part it is he is listening to a bunch of General and Admiral McClellan’s. Deliberate or incompetent we don’t know but what we do know is their “New way of War” ain’t working.

Interesting rant; unrelenting anger masquerading as facts and analysis, but interesting nonetheless.
