Ramstad is married - but just recently.

He is straight. I've never heard any question about his orientation before.

When he was in the state senate, he'd bring some really hot women to GOP dinners or parties.

Who were the Democrat "nays"?

This seems a truer test of patriotism that R or D.

Please don't focus solely on the 17 scum republicans.

For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments...

I'm surprised at Mark Kirk.

Congressman Kirk is a Naval Reserve intelligence officer who served during conflicts with Iraq, Haiti, and Bosnia. He served four tours at sea and three in Panama. The U.S. Navy named Kirk 'Intelligence Officer of the Year' in 1999 for his combat service in Kosovo. Kirk flew on missions over Iraq and continues to serve one weekend a month in the Pentagon. Kirk is the only member of Congress to serve stateside during Operation Iraqi Freedom and was an air crewman over Iraq during Operation Northern Watch.

Shays is my Congressman. He has been staunch on the War. He served during Gulf I. He's a RINO because that's the district - you have to get some votes in Westport, Bridgeport and Norwalk and Stamford (Democrat bastions) no matter how well you do in Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan and Wilton...

Lets see if Mark Kirk takes the next step and votes to cut off money and miltary support and leave his brothers out to dry.

Just sent this to Gilchrest:

Rep. Gilchrest,

As a recently retired veteran of twenty years of military service I find your vote today on the Commander-in-Chief's decision to win the war against terror to be a personal affront and a total disgrace and the mark of a coward. Thank you for emboldening the terrorists and provided aid and comfort to the same. By one single vote you have guaranteed I will never vote for you again. The lack of moral fortitude of our elected representatives today must make the patriots who fought for freedom to establish this country roll over in their graves. I'm don't know what you are thinking but the only conclusion I can reach is that staying in office is much more important to you than intestinal or moral fortitude. In the future you can count on me to do everything in my power to see you voted out of office.

Ron Paul - YEA (with the DEMS)

I think this was to be expected. Though he may be a Republican now, he was a libertarian for many years, and I think he still is in his heart. Libertarians, if I recall correctly, are opposed to any U.S. military action overseas.

I'm not defending him, since I'm enraged about this vote, but he does have the courage of his convictions. He's wrong, but he's not a coward like so many other Republicans. FWIW

This is Mogadishu Message to all of our enemies. We will fight for our freedoms for,.....oh, say 6-12months, then we will retreat. If you can hold out that long, its all yours baby. To the magnificent troops who are fighting for my freedom, for my childrens' freedom......I don't know how to thank you enough. And I am truly sorry your countrys' leadership just turned its back on you. This makes me sick at heart. For what it is worth, a wounded President, bowed, but not broken, still stands with you and your misstion as do millions of other grateful Americans who wish you were home, but appreciate what you do.

Thanks, I just sent Ron Paul a note expressing my disgust and my hope that he eventually realizes it isn't 1783 anymore.

He's elected as a republican, but he's a libertarian. He voted against the original resolution, and has voted against funding.

I strongly disagree with him, and would NEVER vote him president, but his position is consistant, that we had no security obligation that directly effected our country to justify starting a war with Iraq.

Give me brave Dims like Marshall and Taylor, instead of terrorist-supporters like Ron Paul any day.

Ron Paul has a limp, kinda damp, hand shake, for what it's worth. Soft, kinda creepy, hands.

You can tell a lot about a man by his handshake.
