However, afterward when they march, in the permitted area we have definitely bring a sign. Two suggestions:

Yeah, it's tough for me to get away usually, especially being out here in the fields of Nebraska and having kids and cattle to tend to. But please undderstand I will be doing all I can back here to help bring some truth to all those "uninformed" people.
Your service to this country is beyond any thank you I can give, but keep in mind, there are millions of us who feel this way.
My son was in Iraq for 2 tours, and each time I was in total awe of the sacrifices that these men and women have made for us. The daily prayers to them were about the only thing keeping me sane, as they still are now. In my heart, I really believe this helped keep him alive, even through 3 IED blasts.
Anyway, AirBorn, keep up the "good fight", and I'll do what ever I can in the future. God bless you.

'Gathering of Eagles' to protect Vietnam Veterans Wall

Leftist activists who march to the Pentagon next month will discover that their path won't be as clear as it has been in the past.
The group, led by Cindy Sheehan, Jane Fonda, Ed Asner and their ilk, plan to gather March 17 at the Vietnam Memorial Wall to begin a march to protest America's involvement in the Iraq war. The date marks the fourth anniversary of the war's beginning.
This time, however, protestors will see objectors if they spit on Iraqi veterans again, or throw paint on a war memorial. This time, they will encounter a buzz saw of Vietnam veterans and supporters who will gather to protect the Wall, and show their support for U.S. troops. The counter-protestors are calling themselves the Gathering of Eagles.

I figure it's about an 18 hour non stop drive from our home to there.
I heard this announced on Rush's show today! I hope this is such a gigantic crowd that even the MSM will be forced to acknowledge it.
I really would like to be counted as one, but at this point it looks very unlikely. :^( I will be in prayer for everyone, in any case.
We're seeing what we can do to get there to counter those idiots and since I've never been to Washington before so I don't know what area to look for a motel/hotel in. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

trooprally, if you try gatheringofeagles.org, i think they have a group discount at some local hotels already. pretty sure they're the ones who've done that.
TO ANYONE NOT SURE THEY WANT TO ATTEND:
my mother was one of those "typical" citizens in the '60s who continued their lives while a rampant minority changed the war from a success to a failure.
i emailed everyone i knew re: this & that i was tired of them telling me what to believe (when i actually know BETTER). i then informed them i was attending this rally to protect the wall, and asked others to join me.
my mom was the first to respond...i thought "she's going to ask me if it's safe, etc. etc." no. she told me if she & my brother could get back into va by then, she'd love to attend with me.
let me put it this way: THIS IS HER REDEMPTION FOR THE '60S. WILL YOU HAVE ANOTHER CHANCE IN 40 YEARS TO REDEEM YOURSELF/MAKE YOURSELF FEEL BETTER?
in all honesty, i don't think so...we're up against a different enemy, and we may not have another chance!!!
