I used to work in a grocery store, and one filthy hag (filthiness is not limited to the "fairer" sex but in this case "hag" is an apt description) was known by other female staff to never wash her hands after she used the toilet.
That's who is handling you groceries at the check out counter and handing you your change. Pure vile nastiness.
Our local grocery store now has a dispenser with those disinfectant wipes located right next to the cart pickup area. I use one EVERY time when I pick up a cart in that store. It's not just the workers who might be depositing infectious germs on the cart handles; it's also the other customers!
