Oh, he will have many enemies. Socialist members of different religious orgs., freetraders, La Raza, drug cartels, the Mexican Gov., leaders in our own Gov., teachers unions, etc. No one said Conservatism was easy but the alternative will prove to be disastrous.

I agree. But he's got to a) get religion on spending, and b) take an executive position somewhere if he wants to be taken seriously as a first tier candidate for POTUS. Right now I'll support him, but history shows it is damn hard to make that jump from the "lower" house to the White House. (Yes, I know, the senate is a contemptible joke.)

Any chance we can draft Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour?!?!? His "dings" of being from the South and a past lobbying career look to be the least offensive of all the potentials out there - especially if the GOP were to play up Mississippi's competent dealing with the Katrina aftermath.
