It is a miracle that Representative Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) was even elected and has managed to remain a congresscritter. She is a one-act show and darn near the only thing she talks about is firearms and how she was impacted by the shooting of her husband and son. Her response to that criminal tragedy at the hands of a proven madman is inappropriate.

She continues to be elected because the majority of the voters in her district (Long Island) have the same fear and loathing of guns, freedom, and the 2nd A that she does. She wasn't elected by accident. She was elected because the majority of her electorate agree with her.
Yep. If someone on the train (Long Island Express?, iirc) had been armed that morning, they could have stopped Colin Fergusson dead in his tracks--long before he racked up 17 victims.
