I heard the number on the news today and rushed home to find both jars of PP in my pantry had the dreaded 2111 code. I had scooped a couple of tablespoons earlier in the day; so far, there has been no negative reaction. I got mine at a Publix here in Palm Beach County. I am a recent convert to PP PB.

If there is an upside to this, I have for the last ten years or so given up peanut butter for Lent. Won't be much of a sacrifice this year.

Well, we've almost finished the one Great Value jar so I'm not worried about that one. The unopened was neither of those brands so I guess we're safe (whew).

l'm thinking of getting Smart Balance peanut butter. I'm not supposed to eat a lot of it because I'm on dialysis and it has phosphorus in it. O well, gotta die of something.

I've got some of the 211 peanut butter also. I bought it here in Kennesaw, GA at Publix (this is not Publix's fault). However, cheapskate that I am, I only buy the peanut butter that's on sale. I got two jars buy-one-get-one-free. I ate half of one jar, no problem.
I didn't get sick from the peanut butter, but I almost did when I realized I'd wasted money.
God, I am cheap.
No fear, I'm taking them back to Publix for a refund. I wonder if they'll cover the cost of the gas for my trip.........
