Well, we all have a breaking point. I can respect that.
If McCain wins, I may not vote R.

We are all free under God with certain unalienable rights. And some of us are determined to remain free and to keep our rights fully intact. Thank you very much.

Good evening, Jim.
Your tagline is suitable for framing.

I learned my lesson with Perot...anyone who has read any of my posts on the subject, know I despise John McCain. If, God forbid, he's the nominee.....I will vote for him. Nothing scares me more than a Hildebeast or any of her ilk having Presidential power.

If the Republican party writes off the pro life, pro liberty, pro gun planks, well, let's just say it will lose a great deal of respect, and I'm predicting a great deal of support. I can just about guarantee you that Free Republic will become much more anti RINO, anti liberal, anti big government than it's ever been. If we are left with no conservative leadership and no conservative majority to worry about maintaining, then I think it'll be open season on all RINOs from the top down and there will be a complete overhaul in the works.

Thank you very much.Yeah, but your posts sound panicked, as if somehow the black helicopters are going to force a nominee on you. Liberty is competition, which by definition includes the genuine possibility of losing. If I didn't know better, I would read your posts to mean you demand a guaranteed win for the candidate of your choice, which is antithetical to our system.
To: Jim Robinson
But dont most the RINO's come from liberal districts anyhow? How would conservatives get rid of these people?

Most upstaters HATE Hillary! She promised them the moon ( jobs ) and delivered nothing.
Can she do any more ILLEGAL junk for the once burned Hasidim? NOPE!
Not only is N.Y. state in play, with Rudy, but so is Pa., N.J. Ct., and Ohio. Lots of states in the South are also impressed by him. Ca. is absolutely in play and that makes it very much harder and costly for a Dem to just concentrate on a few places.
To: texastoo
Nope, that's just not true at all.
She is programed, doesn't do well without a script; even with a script, for that matter. OTOH, Rudy does very well with or without a script and he;s used to DAILY press conferences, with a VERY hostile press corps.
Who do you think, amongst the known GOP candidates could do better?
To: M. Thatcher
LOL.
Well, with as many of you guys feverishly pushing for a liberal to be nominated as the Republican nominee, you've got to admit that I have a reason to worry. C'mon, the guy's a gun grabber. Since when do we as conservatives go to bat for gun grabbers? He's an abortionist! He supports partial birth abortion! I am totally flabbergasted that he gets even the measly 15% of support from the FReepers that he does:
http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/poll?poll=170;results=1
And even more flabbergasted by the very vocal group of Rudy supporters that are blasting our members daily and hammering them over the head with their defenses of his totally indefensible liberal positions. Abortion. Partial birth abortion. Gay unions. Gay rights. Gun control. Illegal immigration. Liberal appointees.
When conservatives argue so forcefully for this liberal bilge water, you've got to wonder when did some members of FR make a left turn into la la land.
Yeah, it's an open market and we definitely have free elections. We'll wait and see what happens.
May the best conservative win.
But I hope and pray we don't go with the liberal superstar. I'd like to think we're smarter and more capable than that... and that we learn from recent mistakes. Hello Arnie.

"That's why the Supreme Court is so important." You got that right. And that's why we should be determined to keep an abortionist, Roe vs Wade supporting, Ruth Bader Ginsberg admirer out of the White House.

Yeah, it's an open market and we definitely have free elections. We'll wait and see what happens.Agree. It will be a great debate.
I disagree with your view of Giuliani, having gotten to know him over many years. I also think the "blasting" and "hammering" people over the head goes entirely the other way. But like many debates on FR, this one will be resolved and we will be on the same side in the battle for America's future.
