A pregnant woman was shot and killed by someone who fired into her home in unincorporated San Pablo late Tuesday in what investigators are treating as a double homicide, authorities said today.

Luz Maria Aguilar-Bucio, 32, who was three months pregnant, was shot around 11 p.m. as she was in a back bedroom of her home on the 100 block of Michele Drive in the Montalvin Manor neighborhood, authorities said.

The shooter fired at least two dozen shots into the residence, said Jimmy Lee, spokesman for the Contra Costa County sheriff's office, which patrols the unincorporated community.

Three children and another adult who were inside the home at the time weren't hurt, Lee said.

Aguilar-Bucio was taken by helicopter to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where she died shortly after midnight, Lee said. An autopsy by the Contra Costa County coroner today concluded that she died of a gunshot wound to her chest.

I'll never forget representing a guy in Bankruptcy who had a business in that area.

The BK court clerk mistyped his address on his court paperwork as "San Pablo Damn Road."

Should the shooter be charged with two homicides? Absolutely. Yet if the mother kills her unborn child via an abortion, it's called a "choice".

Irregardless of your views on abortion, you have to agree that there is a disconnect here. The termination of the life of an unborn child is considered to be the murder of a human being, except when it's the unborn child's mother that terminates that life.

Morally, I can't agree. Legally, I do.

Only *3* months pg?? That doesn't count! It's not a real baby until after it's born anyway, right? This is an injustice to that murderer!! He/she only killed 1!! person!! The nerve, saying that fetus was real and really counts as a person too.

/liberal pro-choice crap off >:-(
