Sorry to have to inform you of the truth, Eva, but, contrary to mythology, Henry Ford was not a Republican, but a Democrat. In fact, he ran unsuccessfully for the US Senate from Michigan in 1916 as the Democratic candidate. That was his only foray into electoral politics.
