Newt Gingrich calls it like it is.

I'm confused. I thought he did officially declare his bid for presidency?

Yes, Giuliani did officially declare. I think they mean the success of his bid.

Do you mean the primaries?

Or is it a bid for endorsement?

Rudy's law and order image will take a ding once details come out about his fight against the feds to maintain NY as a 'sanctuary city' for illegal aliens.

The number one crime in NYC is illegal entry into the United States. There are hundreds of thousands of illegal foreign nationals residing there. Same with Chicago, Los Angeles and Miami.

Problem is, liberals like Giuliani have no interest in tracking this particular crime - one which is so central to our nation's security.

As most folks who pay attention already know, Giuliani thumbed his nose at the immigration laws and Congress as Mayor, and made his city a sanctuary city for illegal aliens.

Why is there never a word about the billions of tax dollars that has gone to new york from the rest of the country to bail it out. How much is handed out to the city ever year.

"After Mr. Giuliani got rid of Mr. Bratton (the speculation was that the commissioner was stealing the spotlight with his success at fighting crime), he not only kept Compstat but also gave other city agencies a six-month deadline to come up with their own versions of the management system."

I wonder why Rudy would get rid of the top cop responsible for lowering crime in NYC?

Are you kidding me? New York gets a smaller percentage of its tax money back from the federal government in the form of federal spending than any other municipality in the nation. New York subsidizes the nation.

Common misconception you have. The fact is NY gets back just 80 cents for every dollar it sends to Washington.

Here's the list of the most screwed states

1) New Jersey: 57 cents
2) New Hampshire: 64 cents
3) Connecticut: 65 cents
4) Minnesota: 70 cents
5) Nevada: 70 cents
6) Illinois: 73 cents
7) California: 78 cents
8) Massachusetts: 78 cents
9) New York: 80 cents
10) Colorado: 80 cents

In fact, in NYC, the disparity is even greater because the income levels are much higher. NY is the only state that pays 50 percent of its medicaid costs. It should be penalized because of the way it wastes our money. So the next time you want to complain about NY getting all the money see how much your state is getting.

Sorry guys, Rudy has not officially declared his candidacy yet.

I'm sure he will soon.

Oh! I am so relieved that Rudy has not announced his bid for POTUS yet. I was beginning to believe that I had taken a long nap, and he was already President Rudy!

Handy list: Does that include the lost monies regarding the tax-free status of municipal bonds? And how come there aren't tax-free "rural bonds"?

I see you have listed the state of your favorite senator, tell me again how much money has been thrown at the big Dig. Oh, but that does count does it. Neither does the 40 BILLION given to new york. in the past couple of years. You can find a list for anything and can prove anything by that list if, you are allowed to do the definitions.

Cities like New York are economic engines for the entire country.

There is no doubt that the states which contribute most to and get less from the federal treasury are the Blue states listed. No one can dispute it with facts.
