Duncan Hunter has ZERO chance of winning in the race for President. He's an excellent congressman, but like Tom Tancredo will never make it to the highest office in the land. All the wishful thinking in the world won't make it happen either.

It's early. If you were around for the Harriet Miers wars, you'll remember that many of her supporters thought it was a pipe dream that someone like Alito could get confirmed. If you like another candidate better, that's one thing. But if your only problem with Hunter is that you don't think he can win, I'd say that the race shouldn't be conceded before it's even begun.

I thought this article made an interesting point about Hunter's support for the border fence -- that he believes it's important on humanitarian grounds, as well (he pushed for the first section to be complete before the hot months, in the area where the most people die of dehydration).

check this out: " Dear Mr. Reagan, it should be obvious to you now that you can never be elected governor. Please put aside your ego, for the good of our party, and get behind the one man who is moderate enough to appeal to California voters - - San Francisco Mayor George Christopher." Look Magazine
