I like "To Know Him Is To Love Him, Or At Least To Like Him Better Than McCain."

I could easily support him. As for the "only one congressman ever elected president" argument against him, let's keep in mind one of the alternatives, Giuliani, has never been more than a mayor (among his huge list of other liabilities).

I can see why other conservatives are excited with Duncan. He also does well batting down medialibs like Wolfie Blitzer.

I know Huckabee says that the race is a Marathon, but I think he will be shocked by how Mitt will never lessens his pace.

I have used very similar terms to describe him. He's disciplined, says what he means and looks determined to peak in 2008, not 2007. Mitt is a man with a plan and a good ground operation and can tap big money.

I'll still pick Hunter first.

Duncan Hunter has used to be a fiscal conservative but 6 years ago unlike Pence he went along with the crew and started spending taxpayer money like he hates the stuff. Just another pork addicted congresscritter who is one of the reasons we lost in 06.

After Bush/Rove threatened to run GOP candidates and cut funding to anyone who opposed their evil Pill Bill, I can take some of that with a grain of salt.

BTW, voting for the Left-winger, Julie-Annie, isn't a solution, even by your very liberal standards.

So what your saying is that Hunter got his arm twisted a little abandoned his fiscal conservatism and just got piggy.

He could of stood with Pence...but he just went along with the crowd......No leadership. ...No Thanx

At least Guliani had the guts to take on the liberal establishment in NYCity.

Take them on? Julie is the liberal establishment in NYC. Just because he has a few tiffs with them over a few sacred cows is about as meaningful as Xlinton 'reforming' welfare. I suppose that makes the Xlintons good conservatives too.

Most of us don't give a hoot for what passes for 'conservative' in a socialist hellhole like NYC. Differences between NY Republicans and Democrats that can only be detected with a microscope don't float my boat.

A RINO is worse because he disables the entire Republican Party.

The only thing worse than a RAT, is a RATpublican. Blackbird.

There is one area in particular where Duncan Hunter departs from the conservative orthodoxy and that's on trade issues. He's neither a fan of free trade agreements like NAFTA and CAFTA, nor does he think we're getting a square deal on trade from China.

NAFTA IS NOT FREE TRADE

He has been in house for 25 years and now he wakes up and wants to be president?

Mitt's a one termer, and now he wakes up and wants to be president?

Why hasn't he challenged Boxer for the Senate? She is an embarrassment. It would have been a natural progression for him.

Rudy's only ever been a Governer, what's his next step in natural progression?
