Theodore Olson, the stalwart conservative lawyer and former solicitor general for the Bush administration, told the Spectator he will be supporting Rudy Giuliani's presidential bid.
"I admire his character, his capacity for leadership, his instincts, and his principles," Olson said over the phone this afternoon. He said he will help Giuliani raise money as well as offer advice on legal issues and domestic policy matters that involve constitutional questions.

Remind me how many big city mayors went straight to the oval office again. How many female senators? How many empty suited 2 year-experienced black ones?
Thanks
I won't diminish one jot or tittle the leadership Rudy showed for those 3 months. He is a hero and a patriot, but that does not qualify him to be President in my book.
The difference is clear: We'll never win the WOT with a poll driven president. Hillary bases all of her decisions on polls, just like that dirtbag ex-president husband of hers.
She's never been serious about the WOT. One cannot support the troops if one don't support their mission. Hillary, like any other liberal is all about touching the heartstrings of the listener, tugging at ones emotions. Hillary is the root of evil, and evil must be destroyed.
She was the co-president who fled Mogadishu, pursued WTC I as a law enforcement issue, concealed the links to Ramzi Yousef of OKCBomb and the real cause of TWA 800, failed to act on the Khobar Towers bombing, made the most superficial Wag The Dog response to the African Embassy bombings, did not respond to USS Cole, yet managed to cozy up to Yasser Arafat, smooch Suha, come to the aid of Islamist extremists in Bosnia and Kosovo, opposes every antiterrorist surveillance and interrogation offensive, and laments that the president actually took her authorization for the use of force as an authorization for the use of force.
She will end this unpleasantness immediately upon being sworn in January 20, 2009.
In short, her terrorist credentials are impeccable.
As an anti-terrorist, however, she sucks.
Well, Bill Bennett is chunky enough as it is. He should get his fat rear end to the nearest casino and leave it to others to promote conservative ideas AND candidates.
LoL. Wish I had seen that.
and if you keep saying it enough, maybe people will start believing you.
Please show me some evidence that Giuliani is not the current frontrunner.
Not opinion pieces or FR polls.
Real evidence.
Who do you think is leading?
No kidding? YUCK.
Oh well, you like okra, err, I mean, Oprah too. :0)
Dean self destructed. Carter WAS unknown in the NW. Maybe if you lived in the South you may heave known him. Ditto slick willie. Sorry, the game has changed. Fight for Trudy all you want, I'm sticking with the conservative.
;-)
Good post, Phil. Anyone who thinks Hillary is a WOT warrior, has not been paying attention.
I'm pleased with this news...and immediately thought of you:)
Ted better be prepared for the stinging remarks coming his way from one-issue voters.
I've seen very little evidence of that lately, unfortunately. Based on your own exasperation in your post, I suspect you haven't either.
Wishing doesn't make it so!
Who cares who the frontrunner is in February 07?
I'm guessing you already know that answer...
If we knew then that she would let this Islamist jihad cancer grow--while aiding the Peoples Liberation Army all possible--she would be baking cookies waiting for fatso Lothario to come home.
It's one thing to have a conservative voting record.
It's another to run a state or a major city and pull all sides together to get things done.
Duncan Hunter has a nice report card. That's all.
When he shows he has management ability, I'll take another look.
There are still times when I miss her level-head, common sense and wit...
