Wasn't the vote in October and the election in November? I believe that little Tommy Dasshole delayed the debate until fall and then they were backed into a corner. They started bitching about their votes as soon as they were reelected.
Actually, my memory is that they demanded a vote before the election so that they could prove to the world that they were not the wusses that we, and they, know they really are.
