I understand she is opposed to the RCC position on social issues,but I'm sure that's not why she was being called anti-catholic.

That is exactly what I thought from my first glance at 'marcotte's essay' - she cannot write one sentence without using as many filthy words as she can fit into it.

In addition, her rants (the ones I have been able to read until my stomach got upset) were much less lucid than this one.

Amanda Marcotte must also understand that Jesus told the woman to "sin no more". Forgiveness is a precious gift, not to betaken for granted in order to commit more sins.

What Amanda did offended a lot of people and they used their "First Amendment Rights" to call her on it. Liberals continually fail to have a grasp on what "Freedom of Speech" really means. It doesn't immune one from criticism
