So these crybabies think we now owe them something? They were well paid. If they have medical issues, they should be able to afford the treatment.

I don't see anybody crying for the waitress who has knee or hip problems from years of being on her feet. Or the burned-out lawyer or doctor or business executive who drinks too much because of the day-in, day-out stress he or she endures. Or the construction worker whose joints ache with arthritis after years of heavy use and abuse. Come on, get real!

You hit the nail on the head.

Is this 'new' awareness supposed to make everyone cry and demand more perks for these poor superstars?

There is a retired AFL player owns the 'ranch' next to me. He is one fine fellow. He works part time. But, he owns small ranches all over the area having, I guess, invested in property when he was in the money. I guess he didn't blow all his $ on the high life when he was earning it.

Yes last picked for the gym class and hater of athletes.

Stop using lies. They aren't asking you and me they are asking the NFL and the NFL Players Association for help.

I didn't realize you were an NFL Player.

Unless you are an NFL player, owner or etc they aren't asking you for a dime.

Actually the others you list do ask for extra help from you and me.

But unless you are an NFL player or owner or former one they aren't asking you for a thin dime.

They were well paid

Not always. Some of the old school guys that built the sport weren't paid crap. The pimps-n-thugs making phat bling-bling today can afford to pay the medical bills of the guys that made their profession what it is today.
