Are you saying that a candidates personal beliefs and behavior does not matter, and should not be brought out?

Nowhere did I say that...forgive me if I was unclear and you felt I was implying it.

I have a problem with this "Rudy roomed with gay guys...he must be gay" or "Rudy dressed in women's clothing, yeah maybe he is gay" or "Rudy got divorced twice...he's a bad guy" stuff.

The whole "gay" thing isn't even on my radar so far as concerns go and I'm not privy to the machinations of his relationship with either ex wife, so I don't really wish to pass any judgements. At least he had the good sense to bail out instead of playing pretend like other politicans do to "stay viable".

I have a problem witht his second amendment stance. I'm not worried he's a gun grabber per se, but I thnk he would help the gun grabbers along in their efforts. I also think his lack of real executive experience is an issue.

I look for three things in a candidate. THe stance on the issues, the leadership qualities and their level of executive experience. Rudy has one of those three things (leadership) Hunter has one of those things (issues...doesn't strike me as a leader). Romeny has the executive experience...maybe the issues...maybe the leadership. McCain is a kook...stay in the Senate, Farmer John.

That's my own persona; quandry...none of these guys has all three of the things I'm looking for. I'll sacrifice some on ideological purity, perhaps a bit on executive experience. Not much room to give on leadership though.

So...I'd vote for Newt, I'd vote for Jeb Bush...I hate the idea of a dynasty, but Jeb has pretty much all of the things I'm looking for.
