You can tell your son that we love him and believe him. I know I do.
I could not write anything better than your words. My prayers are with these Marines & their families.
I have been reading your responses to my father's story. It is so helpful to see such an overwhelming amount of support. It gives my family such comfort knowing we have so many behind us. The best thing to do it get the word around; I want the world to know what a wonderful brother I have. I have created a Web site for him, along with the help of my boyfriend, Matt. Look at it and pass it around to everyone you know. www.justinsharratt.com. Thank you again for your support. Pray hard, Jaclyn Sharratt
ALL Servicemen stand together.
As if it is not enough to fight our mortal enemies, now we have to fight certain elements, who sometimes call themselves our friends.
As a foreigner, I am appalled at what is presently going on in your government.
To paraphrase Rudyard Kipling to Thomas Atkins, the archetype Serviceman:
"Yes, makin' mock o' uniforms that guard you while you sleep
Is cheaper than them uniforms, an' they're starvation cheap."
And:
"O, there'll surely come a day
When they'll give you all your pay,
And treat you as a Christian ought to do;
So, until that day comes round,
Heaven keep you safe and sound,
And, Thomas Atkins, here's my best respects to you!"
'Those who have never served can never understand those who have.'
