As much as I hate to say it, her letter to Gonzales kicks a$$.
Whatever the truth of this case is, it needs to come out. After paying a little deeper attention to the "official" details, I believed that perhaps the BP agents weren't so innocent (although the sentences were still appalling). However, as the "official" version has started to crumble (with not a little help from my excellent Congressman, Michael McCaul), the "official" version is starting to stink.
I was totally surprised when I read the letters. You are right, she "kicked a$$" in her letter to Gonzales.
The sentences were akin to that of a murder conviction. We can both look forward to the unravelling of this story.
I aggree...I heard alot of the details of what actually happened on talk radio via Mr. Sutton. He came across as honest and has a tough job of prosecuting criminals everyday. I think our local kfi talkradio has done a diservice to it's listeners by mischaracterizing the two agents as completely innocent. Why on earth would a jury of people in that area that looks highly on the border patrol convict them if they hadn't done something wrong? Sometimes John and Ken get so worked up about misinformation and then come across as propaganda agents. I don't hear more level headed hosts like Sean Hannity jumping on the bandwagon that the agents were railroaded and framed by the prosecution. I do believe that they shouldn't be in prison though, and I understand that they have alot of pressure on their job.
