The sentences were akin to that of a murder conviction. We can both look forward to the unravelling of this story.

Let the love fest with Feinstein now begin. ROFL!

I wouldn't mind giving her credit, if I thought that her intensions were honorble.
Knowing her past policies, I have a lot of doubts.

Did you see BOR tonight? A representative who works for Rhorbacher toured the prison with the warden... said Ramos did not have minor injuries, but was badly beaten and still has the imprint of one of the boots on his body... did not receive the nurse until Monday and doctor until Wednesday.
BOR sent a team to interview the warden.. she ducked them, the head of the prisons in the area said the inmates are running the prison, not the other way around, said something like one guard for 147 prisoners.
You might want to catch it on rerun.

I'm impressed as all heck with the questions she asked. Finally someone gets it, even if she is a democrat.

I don't know. They spotted the van near the levee road by Fabens and I think it had Texas plates.

I agree with you, but alas, whose fault is that? It isn't like a lot of Republican Congressmen haven't been screaming for the POTUS to pardon these men and make it go away. Instead Sutton carried it a step further and went after a deputy Sheriff down there for doing his job.

I personally don't think that the bitch cares a damn about the agents. She does see this as a perfect issue that can be used to stick it to the president and look like she is pro-border control when she isn't.
Bush had better jump on the right side of this or the pubs will be further screwed.

I personally don't give a crap what her reasons are; nor anyone ele's who stands up for our border guards. Let's not stoop to the level of the DUmmies and let's give her credit for doing the right thing. Let's also leave the mind-reading to the fake psychics.

An opportunist who had it handed to her on a silver platter.

Thanks! It should be on in another hour. BOR has been all over the warden. Good for him!
This is really frustrating. The risk to the Agents was presented to the judge before sentencing. Instead of acknowledging it, Sutton's office downplayed the risk to Agents, saying that were considered Heroes and implying that the Real Victims were the Prosecutors. The exact words filed with the court from the U.S. Attorney were as follows:
While the case cited by Ramos is some authority for a Court's consideration of the vulnerability of police officer in prison, the departure by the district judge in Koon v. U.S., 518 U.S. 81 (1996) was predicated on facts that were completely opposite to the case at bar. In Koon, the public outcry was against the police officer defendants. The defendant's concern there was that since there was world wide publicity, including an often played video tape of the police officers beating the victim, the public outcry was to string up the defendant officers. In the case at bar, as a result of the defendants' wide spread and multiple misstatements to the public, the outcry is to string up the prosecution. According to the defendant in this case, in his public interviews and statements, he is a national hero. Thus, by his own hand creating the public outrage, defendant has excluded himself from such a departure consideration. Additionally, the Department of Corrections may, and do often, make provisions to protect all types of vulnerable inmates. The Bureau of Prisons has many federal law enforcement agents housed in their facilities. The government assures the Court and the defendants that the Bureau of Prisons will take every measure to assure their safety.

I guess we will just have to sit back and see what she does and if she actually accomplishes anything.
Personally, I hope she succeeds. BTW, the DUmmy remark was a bit low

That is disgusting about Hernandez. Bush needs to roll out the red carpet and do away with the border patrol. It is just disgraceful the way this administration has handled the BP.

"He also admitted speaking to others within Mexico about the possibility of a hunting party that would seek revenge for his shooting by attempting to kill American border patrol agents; while Mr. Aldrete-Davila refused to participate, there is no indication that he provided any information to American authorities about the Mexicans who discussed this idea."
Okay, so why is this terrorist bastard given immunity instead of being locked up at Gitmo? This is a horrible, DANGEROUS double standard. These people ARE ACTIVELY PLOTTING TO TERRORIZE U.S. citizens.
