The problem we face is that conservatives are honorable people. It goes with the territory. Conservative ideology is not just all about low taxes, but has a moral foundation that liberals do not have. Consequently to compete with liberals the playing field will never be level. For example: "There has been a broad, concerted effort to intimidate and silence them [scientists who oppose man-made global warming]," said Myron Ebell, director of energy and global-warming policy at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. "It's the typical politics of the hard left at work. I think these are real threats."
