Downing Street has backed American claims that Iran was involved in arming Iraqi insurgents with powerful roadside weaponry used against allied forces.

Prime Minister Tony Blair had first warned in October 2005 of concerns over improvised explosive device technology and weaponry coming from Iran, said the premier's official spokesman.

He added: "Those concerns have not gone away at all.

"We certainly believe that if the Iranian government wanted to, it could address these concerns, but we don't see any sign that it is.

"We continue to make our case and the Prime Minister has been at the cutting edge of identifying this problem.

"And we continue to say what actually is the case, which is that we keep finding this weaponry which we do not believe can be sourced from anywhere else."

Heck the British still stand behind their report that Saddam was trying to buy uranium from Nigeria but the MSM still ignores them.

Yes - they also do it with Mr. and Mrs. - they usually drop the period. I've noticed that when reading UK publications.

I don't see us doing any military attacks on Iran even though we know they are supplying bombs.

I think the turning point was finding the Iranian "DIPLOMATS" at Irbil...with evidence of their diplomatic activities,,,,

I think that is the answer to the Lefties comment "Why is all of this just coming out now?"
