Couple this with what they have been doing regarding DRM and you have a fairly complete picture of what they think about their customers.

Of course, the entire music business is only marginally about the music. It's main focus is marketing. And that's how we end up with flashy artists who have less than stellar musical talents. The "Look", and the "Vibe" are more imortant than the music. Is it any wonder the industry is in a mess?
