Not even one for the Gipper?
The new icon of Massachusetts Democrats has rebuffed efforts to commemorate a day for Ronald Reagan, the last Republican to win the Commonwealth in a presidential election. And Reaganites are not happy.
Governor Deval Patrick decided not to sign a proclamation recognizing Feb. 6 as "Ronald Reagan Day." A month into his term as governor, snubbing the Gipper's birthday has left Patrick open to partisan sniping.
A prominent conservative said Democratic New York Governor Eliot Spitzer declared the holiday.

He also wants to water down the "Corey Law" that employers use to check employees criminal records. He wants it only to apply to the relevance of the job. Which means if you didn't rob a bank you could work for one.
Yeah, all six of us MA Republicans wrote scathing letters to the Bostonyenskiy Pravda, which were promptly spiked...
Patrick is all for Reagan's predecessor Jimmy Carter who run up interest rates to 22%, inflation to 12% and unemployment to 9%.
To turn this around and on top of it win the cold war against the Soviet Union quite obviously eludes Patrick.
Leonid Brezhnev has a better chance for an honor from that guy.
