Howard Dean was an ex-governor and thus had a leg up on any Congressman without executive experience. He also demonstrated the utter desperation of the Democrats. His chances were torpedoed by the Mass Media after it realized than Dean would be clobbered by Bush. It then put Kerry in believing he would have a chance. But for the Swifties he would have won. I, for one, never believed Dean had a chance at the nomination even when he was high-flying.

Polls are not "meaningless" they merely are not definitive in determining who among a group of close runners will be the winner. However, those candidates with low single digits or less can be pointed out in polls as having no chance.

And now we are being told that Rudy can win.

And Rudy has given the opposition plenty of hammers to hit him with.
