This explain the reason the ice coverage in Antarctica is increasing?


It could very well do. The point is that the AVERAGE temperature of the Earth is increasing. That doesn't mean every part is just 1 degree warmer...for instance...if the ice melts, the relative salinity of the oceans could change, that might divert the gulf stream, which might mean northern europe would get colder. The world and its climate is a very complex system.
