Yes, they did - the most prominent was John Kerry's own sister, but she was far from the only one.

What a HOOT! Obama criticizing one of our best allies in the War on Terror...Obama would rather cozey up to Iran and Syria and turn his back on those that are working with us, and embrace those that are working against us. Too funny. Just goes to show what an empty suit can accomplish, in what...one day or two? I was mad at Cornyn today for his comments on CNN, he should have defended Howard more, like Duncan Hunter did, as Howard has been a mighty ally in this war. And, I don't even think we had to ask them, they jumped in on their own, Howard undertands the threat, Obama clearly doesn't.

" OMG are you telling me they US Demos send people Down under "

Kerry's sister Diana was in Australia campaigning for Kerry at the end of September 2004.
Apparently, there are 100,000 US citizens living in Australia.
The Australian elections were in October and PM John Howard was running for reelection.

Just before the elections in Australia, Diana Kerry gave an interview to an Australian paper where she claimed that Howard,
by allying with the US in Iraq , had made Australians more prone to terror attacks.
" Diana Kerry, the younger sister of the Democratic presidential candidate, has expressed concern for the safety of Australians facing an increased terrorism threat brought on by the U.S.-led intervention in Iraq."

She cited the Bali nightclub bombings as an example of Al Queda retaliation against the Aussies for joining the US in Iraq.
But, she was wrong.
The Bali bombings happened six months before the Iraq war began.
She went on to describe the US as an outlaw nation that violated international law and had no allies .

Both parties send people around the globe to try to plant stories in the foreign press in the hope that those stories percolate and end up back here in our "legitimate mainstream" newsrooms. The Republicans discovered that this is the best way to circumvent the Democrat-controlled "mainstream" newsrooms here in America which routinely spike any stories that are hurtful to their (Democrat) party and to their candidates. Hillary got so mad about the Republicans' success at circumventing the "mainstream" press that she ended up blubbering about "a vast right wing conspiracy".
