I AM curious about your Faith, Osama. bama. What sort of Faith thinks it's OK to take a baby that survives an abortion and set it aside to die? What is that? Mansonism?
They are an anti-Israel, anti-Jewish "church."
In this publication the UCC wants Israelis prosecuted for war crimes.
Obama's Muslim father would be proud of him. He learned all about hating Jews in the Madras that he attended when he was growing up.
Unfortunately, the UCC is one of the NGOS who are working with the United Nations. Not only are they another anti-gun group, but they are working to try to get the Internet control taken away from the US.
This little blurb was taken from their website.
"Multistakeholder participation in the Internet Governance Forum
This wording is included in the final document. But it originally included the phrase on an equal footing and now that line has been deleted. The forum will start by end of first quarter of next year. We don't know its size yet. It will probably be much bigger than UN working group which had only 40 members. Probably several hundred people. It has a lifetime of 5 years and then it will be evaluated. All governments should participate on an equal footing (which is a dig at current set-up with US dominance)."
There is so much more on this unholy church, but you get the drift. :o)
It seems we've opened up quite a can of worms, this evening.....
The United Church of Christ was established to defray seminary costs for the Congregationalists and Unitarians if I remember, being a Congregationalist, in the sixties.
...I won't be shocked if he is the stealth Muslim candidate.
Well, VOA, I guess maybe it will make me sound paranoid, too.
But this is a real fear I have.
Really? Well that explains it. /s
Obama's faith (or lack thereof) is between him and God, but his sorted religious pat, and his recent "conversion" to a more mainstream "faith" must raise eyebrows. He knows that most Americans, despite the PC police making "tolerance" a household word, will not vote for a Muslim for POTUS. Being a "Christian" is far more politically expedient.
But - the Bible is also quite clear that Christians are known by their works - are Obama's positions reflective of a Christian world-view? If not, then he is at best a hypocritical Christian, at worst - a complete liar and pawn of Satan.
Ping!
Thank you, I haven't read through the thread so can't make much comment.
Maybe it was mistake joining the Universalistic church. Congregationalists believe in personal interpretation of the bible. The ministers have no say over a persons interpretation of their reading of the bible. But they will help if they are needed. Was a controversy at the time the union occurred back in the sixties in Wellesley, Ma. I'm not so sure it was good.
I really couldn't tell ya.
His current "church" is worth more scrutiny than his past in Indonesia.
i would imagine this man is simply somewhere between agnostic, atheist, apathetic on the topic, and open to whatever works.
He is a politician, and will try to do whatever gets him the job he wants.
You have to remember who raised Obama. His polygamist muslim birth father abandoned him and his mother to take wife #3 when Jr. was a baby. His mother, a kooky unitarian flower child, married another muslim who raised Obama until he was 10. Then Obama went to live with his grandparents in Hawaii, also Unitarians. He grew up learning Unitarianism and Islam, and when he reached adulthood he found a church that was accomodating to both of them.
The key to Obama's religious beliefs is found by looking at what produced him: unitarian liberals with an infatuation for islam. These types are basically all a bunch of multicultural leftists who think of Jesus as a "philosopher" or "great teacher" and little more. They share a common practice with most Unitarian and the more liberal UCC congregations in that they regularly invite in "clergy" from other religions (except for mainstream Christianity and Judaism) to give sermons so they can "learn" about different cultures. This basically permits multiculturalist practitioners of other religions to form a club with like-minded multiculturalists and nominally attach it to the name of Jesus, which they then justify by adopting the slogan that "Jesus loves everybody" even though they don't adhere to any basic principles of Christianity. So you end up with congregations that are really composed of people who belong to or come from other religions such as Islam. It's particularly convenient for politicians like Obama who know they couldn't get elected nationally by claiming membership in a mosque but still want to attend religious services that are sympathetic to islam.
Typically the more "exotic" and third worldish the religion is, the more these types of churches gravitate toward it. So you basically get Imams, Rastafarians, Voodoo witchdoctors, and "Wicca" priestesses coming in week after week and lecturing to the Unitarian or liberal UCC congregations. This may sound downright farcical to somebody who's never seen it, but it is literally what these people do. There was actually a case a couple years ago when a lady who practiced witchcraft filed a suit against a Unitarian congregation, accusing them of trying to steal her spells. Obama's church probably hasn't had any witch sue it yet, but it's not far off at all. Its posted doctrines are overtly Afrocentric, and its version of "inclusiveness" undoubtedly welcomes mahometan jihadis into its circles. Obama's mother was exactly the same way, and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree on this one.
Not surprisingly, the modern UCC maintains close ties with the modern Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship. They co-publish a series of books on sexuality for kindergarteners to make sure little kids are all educated in the use of the main holy symbol of the UCC and the Unitarian-Universalists: the condom.

The UCC's website is very telling. Like most liberals, they worship at the altar of the condom.
