I think his views puts the moral choice in the hands of the individual.

Judge not, lest ye be judged.

While I personally would never have an abortion for my own moral reasons, I won't impose it on anyone else. It is God's job to judge them and if in the end, they judge themselves hsrshly for doing so, so be it. Those that fail to self-judge and repeat the same act will not win God's favor.

With the gay agenda, I tend to see the whole person and if I get to know someone and they choose an alternative lifestyle, it is still not my place to judge. If the individual has a clear and compassionalte heart and treats others as Jesus would, then they are living a more righteous life than those that choose to do Jesus' job here on earth.

While it may be "wrong" in the eyes of God to have an abortion or be gay, it is also wrong to do God's job and to judge, condemn and inflict personal values on another.

There will be no doubt that someone will be tempted to flame me and that, too, is not very Christian.

You tore Genesis out of your Bible?

Why not just chuck the rest of it?

Suppose we substitute another situation...does this statement sound legitimate to you?

"his views puts the moral choice in the hands of the individual."

His support for public funding of embrionic stem cell reaserch means, he's force citizen's that see it as immoral, to pay for it. They'd also have to pay for govm't funded abortions. In general, that is his way.

"Judge not, lest ye be judged."

I have no problem with being judged. Giuliani doesn't support freedom. Here's his take.

"Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do and how you do it."

Rudy Giuliani

"While it may be "wrong" in the eyes of God to have an abortion or be gay, it is also wrong to do God's job and to judge, condemn and inflict personal values on another."

It's not God's job they're doing. It's their own. They have their reasons for doing things, just like the gun grabbers that support Giuliani do.

If you simply substitute any other kind of murder of an individual for the words "have an abortion" in your sentence, it will quickly become obvious how silly your position is.

One of civilized society's foremost duties is to protect the weak and defenseless among us.

The most infantile pro-abortion argument in history, and it seems to never get old.

The abuse to a living child that is not wanted does more social damage than I can even begin to describe.

Your logic is really twisted. I've never seen a sentence that so fully illustrates the old saying 'throwing the baby out with the bathwater'. If this is how you feel then you should be on your soapbox telling us what Jesus would do to stop child abuse. I can guarantee you you He wouldn't say murder the child before it's born so it doesn't have to endure being unwanted and abused and grow up to damage society.

Every law we pass is based on a moral judgement of choices that other people make. Taking the phrase 'judge not, lest ye be judged' out of it's Biblical context and using that as an argument that Jesus would post this is ludicrous.

You seem to believe that every person that is pro-life is a religious nutcase trying to force their religious views on other people. I don't have to wave my Bible to prove that abortion is wrong. I can wave a science book because all the proof you need that a fetus is a living human being is contained in them. I don't want to live in a society that allows innocent living human lives to be snuffed out in an abortion clinic.

Yes, if abortion is out-lawed and a woman chooses to go to a filthy back alley snuff clinic to murder her child, that choice will be on her, not me, but as the law stands right now, our society condones these murders and the blood is on all of hands.
