The social conservatives should realize that to nominate Rudy Giuliani is sending the message that the issues of abortion, homosexual marriage, and gun control are now off the table in presidential politics. Just because abortion may never be illegal in my lifetime is no reason to stop fighting it. On the contrary, if we stop fighting it, it shows our cowardice in the face of legalized murder, and will make it all the more difficult to ever stop it.
Why are we asked to compromise? Why not vote for McCain? Oh, you mean McCain-Feingold is more important than abortion? A stupid law concocted by Democrats is more important than the dignity of human life? I cannot agree with that.
