We can do better than this cross-dressing, thrice-divorced, gun-grabbing, anti-marriage, pro-abortion candidate.

Stop it with the "sugar coating" already will ya'? /snicker

Convince myself of what? He was a mayor of a large city?

"Maslow's hierarchy of needs is typically represented as a pyramid with the more primitive needs at the bottom and consisting of five levels: the four lower levels are grouped together as deficiency needs associated with physiological needs, while the top level is termed growth needs associated with psychological needs. While deficiency needs must be met, growth needs are continually shaping behavior. The basic concept is that the higher needs in this hierarchy only come into focus once all the needs that are lower down in the pyramid are mainly or entirely satisfied. Growth forces create upward movement in the hierarchy, whereas regressive forces push prepotent needs further down the hierarchy.

As you can see from the pyramid shown above, the first two levels of need are physical survival needs such as water, food, sleep, warmth and exercise and safety and security needs. The other more ethereal needs don't come into play until those two levels have been met."

The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States is all about SECURITY! My right to possess firearms for my SECURITY are not "ethereal needs". My security starts at home. Any people who depend on their government for "security" will not be "secure" or free. Rudy Giuliani will continue his pogrom against gun owners if he becomes president.

That's very true and for those who claim that he has no "foreign policy nor understanding of world", since he has had to deal with the damned UN delegates and their staff membebrs, he has far more dealings with these types, than some no name Congresscritter has ever had.

I must concede that Rudy has the best executive credentials of all candidates.

Like most, I am concerned about him on the social issues. But, I am willing to listen to what he has to say. If he can beat Newt, Romney, and Hunter in debates on the issues, he will have my vote.

If you don't vote, "Clinton happens!"

It won't matter what Giuliani thinks about about abortion if Iran drops a bomb on us.

And I suppose it won't matter if Rudy decides to confiscate all guns and declare martial law after Iran drops a bomb on us?

Sorry, but some of his lefty positions ARE important even in your alarmist scenarios.

You weren't here in '99 nor for most of 2000. Go look at all of the threads about candidates, that were posted back then.

FR was actually a real CONSERVATIVE POLITICAL FORUM, at that time, with no religion section, no chat section, etc.

This IS politics and nobody is holding a gun to your head, forcing you to read threads you don't want to read.

"Quite fitting, as Rudy is as real a Republican as Pro Wrestling is a real sport"

Pro wrestling?

Sweaty men grabbing each other ?

The Gay agenda?

There could be links here?

Hmmmmm. I never thought of that. LOLROTF

Maybe they're hoping for a cage match after the primaries where the loser Guiliani goes against the loser Hillary! in a pay per view cage match. Kinda like those third tier celebrity boxing matches.

If you don't vote, "Clinton happens!"

Not voting isn't the only guarantee of a Clinton happening.

Ross Perot proved this point very well.

That turning a deficit to a surplus in one of the largest budgets in the world is an accomplishment that you can’t dismiss because of what you call "a mayor of a 15 sq.m. city".

Got it?!

Rudy Giuliani was there when terrorists attacked New York City. He saw IN PERSON, not on television, the destruction and mayem they created. Those were his constituants who were murdered.

That is not much of a qualification ("he's REALLY mad!") considering that millions of others share it, and the hundreds of millions who weren't there can be just as outraged (or qualified to lead the war) as one who was there.

Three reasons to suspect a government education here.

It starts out with the claim that social policy doesn't cut it anymore, then devotes about one-half the commentary to Rudy's liberal social policies...

managed public works efficiently~~ made Times Square safe for theatergoers~~ aggressive initiative against drunk drivers~~ ban on sex shops~~ new parkland~~ "Public safety is a fundamental civil right..."~~ child welfare~~ crackdown on deadbeat dads~~ identified children eligible for health insurance

Dragging in Maslow's hierarchy.

Can't spell supersede.

How did an actor do so ? Or a Texas Oilman ?

Remember, the President runs a TEAM. It's the overall approach that matters.

While Guiliani doesn't meet my political policy requirements, you DO have to give him points for having guts and a pair and not being afraid to use either. . .

So far, of the announced candidates, he DOES appear to be the most electable. Which, in and of itself. . .is a sad statement on the Republican candidates. . .

An ex-mayor suddenly knows all about being a Commander-in-Chief? Getting rid of public urination is somehow a qualification to fighting Islamofascists? This does not compute.

No, it was his ability to look good on TV after a disaster in his city that qualifies him in global politics.

president hillary is just what you deserve. Regrettably, even for the sake of getting you a much needed lesson, one must not risk the country.
