Yes. Still beats a liberal. But call me greedy. I would like someone who holds conservative positions AND a scandal free personal life. My point was, if we are going to ignore personal stuff, then give me Gingrich.

I'm sorry, I did not catch that from your original post. I like a lot of Newt's positions on issues, but am afraid his high negatives from his time as Speaker and (quite frankly) his name make him unelectable. A man called "Newt" might be OK South of the Mason-Dixon Line, but too many Yankees would never vote for someone with such a "hillbilly" name. Also, "Gingrich" morphs into "Grinch" far too easily.
