What is wrong with 9 new coal fired power plants in Texas?
I heard about this proposal a couple years ago and I live in Missouri. Nobody is hiding anything here.
As with any domestic energy program. Environmental wackos will attempt to stop development and increase our dependence on foreign oil.

I wonder if owning a "cave" timeshare would be appealing to environmentalist wackos. If so I know there are a lot of caves available. Cash only.

What's wrong with it? Ask the survivors who've lost coal plant workers.

Coal plants are cheap to build and cheap to run. Sure they pollute, but isn't TXU's stock price important too? In Texas, we have phony deregulated electricity. TXU/Reliant/OnCor have an ERCOT (Electric Reliability Council of Texas) monopoly in what was supposed to be free market competition. I think TXU wants to run the other electric delivery providers out of business and leave TXU producing all of the electricity for Texas.
