Can you say regift???

We do a fun thing, we have a "trashy trinket" exchange at Christmas every year. The LTC has a very large family with too many brothers, sisters, neices and nephews and we can't afford to give to everyone and don't want to offend anyone.

We put them all in a "grab bag" and pass out all the freebies and "bad gifts". It started as a fun thing for the kids (two rules -- no fighting, no crying allowed), and ended up with the adults having more fun than the kids.

Sounds marvelous, one man's trash is another man's treasure. At first I was shocked at how many things were still in their original packaging, now that is what I look for more often than not. I usually give them to myself as gifts, or to someone that has nothing like a Shelter for Abused Women that our Republican Women donate to every year. It is great especially if you are broke, and want to give them something to cheer them. I went to one Yard sale and the Woman must have had 10 never opened Classy packaging containing beautifully designed soaps, Perfumes, Bath Salts, Scrubbing Lotions and Conditioners, and colognes. She did not want anything to do with them. She said her kids give her this stuff several times a year on all birthdays, Anniversaries, or whatnot, and she will never use them all and she has no room. These were better Department store Gifts and she had $2.00 price tags on them. Such a deal Dahling!!!!!!!
